See what I did there? Pretty clever, huh? Now, go wash out your eyes with soap.
But it’s actually true. W. Mark Felt, former FBI agent and Woodward and Bernstein’s source during their investigation of Watergate, known to the world for 30 years as “Deep Throat” died yesterday at the age of 95. We here at Sod salute this American hero. Whether you agree with what he did or not, he risked his career and, considering how crazy Nixon was about revenge, possibly his life, to make sure that the American people knew the truth about what their government was doing. In my mind, that’s a hero. Truth trumps country, every time.
As for the other “Deep Throat,” I assume that Linda Lovelace is still alive and continues to be the bane of bananas, cucumbers, candy canes and, well, just about every penis-shaped food you can think of.
