That’s right, ladies and gents, Sod is going to be taking another whack at this “liveblog” thing tonight at 6pm for the Vice Presidential Debate between Dem. Joe Biden and Rep. Sarah Palin. Who will induce more cringes? Who will come across as more degrading towards women? Who will stick their foot farther into their mouth? And most importantly, who will have the best hair, hairplugs or no?
There’s only one way to find out, really. The choice is yours. You can tune in to just about any channel outside of Comedy Central or Lifetime, sit on your fat American butt and end up in the hospital, suffering from blunt force trauma to your intelligence, or you can tune into that aforementioned ANY CHANNEL, grab your laptop or wheel your desktop computer into your living room (assuming that your television doesn’t get jealous) and join the gang from Sodblog as we make even more of a mockery of the forum that is supposed to let the country get to know our Vice Presidential candidates. Consider us your shield from mind-numbing stupidity. Or at least your buffer.
To take part or just passively watch as we work ourselves into a tizzy over every little detail in a hilarious fashion, all you have to do is bookmark this post and click here to open the liveblog window. Or, you can visit when the debate starts and click on the big main post that includes the words “LIVEBLOG” and “VICE PRESIDENTIAL” in it. The choice is yours. Choose wisely.
It’s official… A text message at 3 am this morning declared Joe Biden as Obama’s running mate.
DENVER — The candidate who claimed the Democratic presidential nomination with a message of change has turned to a six-term senator and Washington insider for his running mate.
Barack Obama’s choice of Delaware Sen. Joe Biden as the Democratic vice presidential nominee instantly bolsters the ticket’s credentials on foreign policy, an area where Obama’s background is limited. Biden, who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is one of Congress’ most knowledgable and respected voices on national security.

Good choice or bad? Some say the ‘mouth’ of Biden will pull the ticket down, others say it will bolster it.
I say he’s a good choice, if he can keep it cool over the next few months.
