While you should never be ashamed of your heritage or your gender, you (like the rest of us) can always regret the deeds done at Burrito King while full of distilled spirits.

I like to think the bubba in the picture was protesting Rick Moranis’ refusal to make “Honey, I Shrunk the Stapler 2; Blackbeard’s Revenge” and ran out of room for the ‘i’.

Hey, now. Why must we always focus on the negative when it comes to white people being angry and hostile towards those things which they find threatening and confusing to them? I, being a cynical white man, choose to instead focus on the following things that white men really like.

• Trucker hats
• Barnes and Noble
• Gnarls Barkley
• Best Buy sales fliers
• Crew neck t-shirts
• Hanging one arm out the car window
• NCIS
• Taking a day off from work “just because”
• Halo 3
• Bubblebaths

-Margarinalized Communites, in all their pseudo-buttery fakery

-that past-the-date yogurt from last week

-Burrito King

-Distilled Spirts, in horrendous volume

-the Sound of Freedom on the March

-The feeling that he should be ashamed of what he is, while at the same time being uncomfortably aware of how lucky he is to be born who he is, in addition to the confusion of feeling like a racist/sexist/oppressor for questioning this self-flagellaion, despite being unaware of ever consciously harming anyone based on their gender or skin color

As a white male between the age of 18 and 49, I have to say that the AWM is indeed a marginalized group. Marginalized even within the white male 18-49 group. Although you paint this sub-sub group with rather broad strokes, it’s still pretty apt.

Oh, and by the way, you might want to go back and check the date tag on this post, because it’s showing up as March 23, 2003, and I’m guessing you didn’t post it here five years ago. It’s probably a WordPress glitch or something.
