Apparently, actor Heath Ledger has decided to call it quits. Permanently. And we think that’s pretty shitty news.
Ledger was found by a masseuse and a housekeeper at a Manhattan apartment owned by Mary-Kate Olson, yes, that Mary-Kate Olson. Authorities say that they do not know why Mr. Ledger was in Ms. Olson’s apartment. The death was an apparent suicide, as Heath was found sprawled out on a bed, surrounded by bottles of pills. Heath Ledger was 28.
I think I speak for everyone here when I say that this just sucks. While not the most earth-shattering thing in the world, it’s still the death of someone that was loved by his friends and family, and for them, this is just plain shitty. So, while we brace ourselves for the inevitable TMZ retrospective, “Heath: We Wish We Had More Time to Stalk You,” we offer our sincere condolences to Heath’s friends and family for their very unfortunate loss.
It is a pity that a young life is dismissed in solitude of his world, a great player, a great human being who suffered their depression alone, never forget that his legacy is one that will remain in our hearts always, God has given your forgiveness and your soul out there. Thanks for the comments. Very well put, Peter P.
Anonymous, did you click on the link to the article that I based most of the details on? Those were the facts as they were being reported at the time. The time being the first few hours after his death.
And excuse me if I have better things to do than go back and update this little post every time some little nuance turned up. Maybe you’d prefer it if our entire site turned into “Heath-watch” mode for the next few weeks, if we posted the Live, Webcast video of his stretcher being taken out of the building, like TMZ.com did. Would that make you feel better?
The fact that you can’t bring yourself to reveal your name when writing a slanderous, ill-informed comment on a HUMOR BLOG that just happened to offer condolences to the family of a recently deceased actor, coupled with the fact that you’re sill so broken up about it a week later tells me one of two things:
1) You’re either family to Mr. Ledger (in which case, I again apologize for your loss) or you’re some sycophantic fan that can’t imagine anything worse than Heath dying before he could make a sequel to “10 Things I Hate About You.”
2) You’re a coward who likes to hurl baseless, raving comments at people who could, honestly, give two shit about you or your petty opinions.
it’s so sad to see the best actor ever die so sudden R.I.P.
HEATH LEDGER
we’ll all miss you
[...] Oldman (Gordon), Michael Caine (Alfred), Morgan Freeman (Fox), Aaron Eckhart (Dent) and, of course, Heath Ledger (you know who) are so impressive. To have this great of a cast on a summer blockbuster is [...]
“Anonymous”, you sure make some nasty statements to someone who wished the family and friends of Ledger well. Why all the hate? And while we are on the topic, “Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine ” ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heath_Ledger#Autopsy_and_toxicological_analysis). Ok, so maybe the he wasn’t surrounded by pill bottles (then again if you are the expert and were there, show YOUR proof), but there were definitely pills surrounded in his body.
Anyways, didn’t mean to drag up something again that’s months old, but I was ready to thank Nate and say how I agreed until I saw that ridiculous post by Anonymous. Either way, RIP Ledger.

If you waited instead of posting lies about Heath’s death, you wouldn’t get these comments.
If you bothered to watch the news more than 1 day a week, then you’d know that it was not a ‘pill bottles all around him’ scene. He was in bed, sleeping, sick with pneumonia, and the maid heard him snoring, and left. Then the masseuse [sp?] arrived a couple of hours later, and he wasn’t breathing.
The pills [prescribed to Heath] were in the bathroom, not scattered around him on his bed. Plus, it was said that the pill bottles were mostly full. How can you overdose on that?
I wish you and other people would stop posting this shit about Heath’s death.
Just let him rest in peace and don’t spread lies about him killing himself. He had a great career, and his daughter Matilda was his life. I don’t think he’d leave his little girl intentionally or accidentally.
So shut up, and stop acting like you know everything.
