Antarctica

you ever wonder what it looks like in your freezer when you don’t have the stinkin’ door open? well, wonder no more, you insufferable shithead. in celebration of the 2007-2008 polar year, the USGS has deigned it necessary to provide the world unprecedented access to the entire continent of antarctica, as seen from space, with the understanding that very few of us in the world have ever seen it up close. this makes sense, because if we had been there, we’d have already learned there wasn’t a goddamn thing there to see in the first place, and the USGS would like to save us the trip.

OR!!! maybe they really do want us to visit, since the effing image doesn’t load half the time… uhhhh, frustrating?!?!?!  on a side note, if anyone happened to have attended the celebration of this international polar year, i’d love to see some high-def images of the assholes who attend these kinds of events (self portraits are acceptable).  thank you in advance.

seriously, though, i think you can actually see right down to the phony newspaper headlines we keep printing to scare the crap out of those penguins! oh antarctica, thank god we got some good pictures of ye before you went and dried up. the peerless clarity of your stark, featureless terrain is truly manifest in the common heritage of all peoples.

in anticipation of reader outrage, let me assure you i already know penguins can’t read.
